Dr. Angela Harris-Principal

Hello Cooper Families and Community Members!

It's an absolute joy to be your principal, and I'm so excited about the opportunity to partner with the amazing staff, students, and parents to build a vibrant community here at Cooper. Our school words for this year are: Dream. Achieve. Lead. and we are looking forward to working hard to create an environment where each stakeholder has the opportunity to do just that.

I hold bachelor's degrees in Special Education and Elementary Education from Western Governors University, a master's in school leadership from Lamar University, and a doctorate in curriculum and instruction from the University of West Florida. My family and I have already had so much fun exploring Georgetown, from library events and art expos to culinary tastings and the beautiful San Gabriel Park and trail system. I'm truly excited to find even more ways to lead, grow, and serve our wonderful community.

Karla Stewart-Assistant Principal

Hello, Cooper Families!

My name is Karla Stewart. This is my first year at Cooper and starting my sixth year in administration serving as Assistant Principal. Previous to my current role, I was a School Counselor for three years and an elementary bilingual Teacher for 12.

When I am not at work, my husband Mark and I love to spend time walking trails, in our pool, or visiting new places with our two Golden Retrievers, Charlie and Gracee. I am a HUGE dog lover. So much, that if you bring your dog to drop off your student/s, don't be surprised to see us with treat containers ready to hand out to all the fur babies on a daily basis. They will love coming along every morning! They get their ride/walk, a treat, and they will make our day, it's a win for all!

I am looking forward to getting to know the community, leading and supporting students, staff, and parents to a successful 2025-2026 school year!
