Cooper Elementary School is named for Patricia Webb Cooper.  Prior to her death in 1997, Mrs. Cooper taught at Carver Elementary, Williams Elementary, and Pickett Elementary in Georgetown, Texas.  She received her degree from Southwestern University, where she was selected as student of the year.  In 1995 Mrs. Cooper was voted by her colleagues as Williams Elementary Teacher of the Year.

Pat was a wonderful teacher who truly cared about her students.  She used her sense of humor, love of learning, musical talent, creativity, and energy to make learning come to life for her students.

Pat's caring for others was demonstrated in many ways.  She was the sponsor for the Pickett TAME (Texas Alliance for Minorities in Engineering) organization which won a state award of excellence.  She was also active in her church.

In addition to being a teacher, Mrs. Cooper was a wife, mother, friend, and mentor.  Her beautiful spirit lives on in the hearts of the people whose lives she touched.  Patricia Webb Cooper Elementary School is proud to be named for such a fine educator and special person.
